Lola Olufayo is an experienced independent social worker and social work consultant who provides independent assessments, reports, and professional advice in private and public family law proceedings.

Lola is able to undertake a wide range of assessments and reports in relation to children and families in need, both within and outside of the court arena.

Lola is available to undertake assessments within specific timeframes, at short notice and within short timescales if required.

Lola has a combination of 18 years non-statutory experience and 11 years post qualified experience in statutory children’s social work. Specialising in child protection, Public Law Outline, adoption, and private law, Lola’s experience as a social worker and a Team Manager includes working for various Local Authorities across London, South East England, South West England and Wales. Lola has worked in various social work teams such as Early Help, The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Referral and Assessment, Children’s Safeguarding, Court & Permanence, and Leaving care

Experience of giving evidence

Lola has substantial experience in giving evidence in family proceedings, as well as mentoring and supporting others to give evidence.

Cases undertaken

Lola specialises in undertaking assessments to inform the Public Law Outline process including care proceedings, permanence planning and adoption, as well as private law proceedings.

Lola is able to connect and build positive relationships with young people who are considered as difficult to engage due to her own cultural understanding, and awareness of social issues, currently impacting on society.
